JOB DESCRIPTION

Sentient Energy is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of cutting-edge technology that is transforming the energy industry. 

In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to create and optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and increase efficiency. You will be involved in various stages of the product lifecycle, from design to production, and will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operational success. 

JOB SUMMARY

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment both in-house and at Contract Manufactures
  • Contribute to the design and development of new products and product enhancements, focusing on manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, to reduce waste and improve efficiency. 
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and production. 
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and training materials. 
  • Conduct time studies and capacity planning to optimize production schedules.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing principles, processes, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with diverse groups. 
  • Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and processes. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
