POSITION: Technical Lead

POSITION DUTIES: Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions to meet requirements using AWS, Python, and modern infrastructure-as-code tools. Provide mentorship and coaching to foster team members’ technical growth. Offer expert guidance on cloud-native design patterns, architectural principles, AWS, Databases, and Python algorithm performance as an SME. Collaborate with multiple development teams, cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand priorities, customer challenges, and devise scalable solutions across various domains. Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new technologies and architecture. Play a key role in platform governance, ensuring architectural standards, scalability, and security compliance. Provide strategic insights on technology choices, cost optimization, and cloud adoption strategies. Maintain and optimize the Cloud Advanced Analytics (CAAP) platform; identify and resolve roadblocks or impediments for the engineering teams. May telecommute from any location in the U.S

REQUIREMENTS: Requires at least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, including building on data-intensive systems involving handling large data volume, performance and memory constraints and scalability needs; dealing with technical complexities such as concurrency and partitioning; software product development, testing, and deployment lifecycle; and using REST APIs; RDBMS (SQL); NoSQL technologies; AWS or Azure Cloud Services; and C#, Java, or Python. Must have at least 2 years of experience handling and processing high-resolution oscillography data, using ECS (Elastic Container Service), architecting microservices, and using Cloud Advanced Analytics Platform (CAAP) to deliver predictive analytics for electric utilities and fleetwide monitoring. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in Software Engineering, including building on data-intensive systems involving handling large data volume, performance and memory constraints and scalability needs; dealing with technical complexities such as concurrency and partitioning; software product development, testing, and deployment lifecycle; and using REST APIs; RDBMS (SQL);NoSQL technologies; AWS or Azure Cloud Services; and C#, Java, or Python. Must have at least 2 years of experience handling and processing high-resolution oscillography data, using ECS (Elastic Container Service), architecting microservices, and using Cloud Advanced Analytics Platform (CAAP) to deliver predictive analytics for electric utilities and fleetwide monitoring.
