SENTIENT ENERGY APPOINTS MARK GAALSWYK AS PRESIDENT & CEO
Frisco, TX – August 18, 2025 – Sentient Energy, a leader in intelligent sensing and analytics solutions for electric utilities worldwide, today announced the appointment of Mark Gaalswyk as President and CEO, effective August 18, 2025. He takes over for Bahman Hoveida who will continue serving as the Chairman of the organization.
Mark brings extensive leadership and operational experience to Sentient Energy, with a proven track record in hardware manufacturing, automation, and delivering complex technology solutions to utilities and critical infrastructure operators around the world.

Mark holds a strong background in manufacturing and technology leadership and has spent his career building businesses and high-performing teams that blend innovation with customer-centric execution. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Bethel University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
